Trời nắng to. Đường thì dốc. Một ông lão đảy cái xe cút kít đầy lợn. Trên xe có bốn năm con lơn to, chân trói, bụng phơi và mồm kêu eng éc. 
The sun was shining. The road is steep. An old man was pushing a wheelbarrow full of pigs. There were about four or five big pigs whose legs were tied and stomaches were shown to the sun, and they were grunting.
Ông lão cố đẩy cái xe mặt đỏ bừng, mồ hôi chảy, mà xe vẫn không thấy chuyển. 
The old man was trying to push the wheelbarrow, his face was turning red and he was sweating, but the wheelbarrow was motionless.
Mấy cậu bé đang chơi trên bờ đê thấy thế vội chạy tới xúm lại buộc dây vào đầu xe mà kéo hộ. Xe lên khỏi dốc, ông lão cám ơn các cậu và các cậu cũng lấy làm vui lòng vì đã giúp được việc cho người.
Some children were playing on the dike, seeing that, they rushed to the scene and tied a rope to the front of the wheelbarrow and pulled it with the old man. After passing the slope, the old man thanked them and they felt happy to be of service.

7. Phải tuân theo pháp luật 7. We must obey the law      Có pháp luật thì trong nước mới bình yên, nhân dân mới được vui vẻ mà làm ăn.. Pháp luật đặt ra vì lợi ích chung cho mọi người. Nếu không có pháp luật thì không thành xã hội được. Only when the law is enforced can a country be peaceful and its people enjoy their work and life. The law is established for the common benefit. Without law, society cannot be formed.  Nhờ có nhà nước đặt ra pháp luật, đem pháp luật thi hành, phân xử mọi việc, trừng trị những kẻ gian ác, trộm cướp thì tính mạng, của cải và danh dự của chúng ta mới không sợ bị ai xâm phạm đến. Nhờ pháp luật thì việc cày cấy, buôn bán và mở mang đường xá  mới được tốt đẹp; nói tóm lại, nhờ có pháp luật mọi nguwoif mới được yên tâm làm ăn. 20. Đêm đông 20. Winter night Trời rét như cắt. Mưa rả rich. Gió thổi mạnh, cành là chuyển động ào ào. Ở bên ngoài, tối đen như mực. Thực là một cảnh tiêu điều buồn bã.  It is piercingly cold.
